What is a stop limit order?

A stop limit order is used to control the precise level at which an order is filled.

The order type has a stop price level which acts as a trigger for the placement of a limit order.

This means that once the stop level is reached, a limit order is placed to execute the trade at the limit price or better, thereby preventing the risk of stop order slippage.

Stop limit orders can be placed from the trade ticket under the Order tab.
